Our Philosophy

Laurie Bishton is a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and New York State registered hearing aid dispenser.  After nearly 20 years working in the field of audiology as a hearing healthcare provider in the corporate environment, in 2014 she decided is was time to open a small, independent practice.

We have a different approach here at Hamilton Hearing that isn't found at the big name hearing franchises. As a small, independent practice, we have the time to focus on what is best for the patient.

This is proving to be extremely fulfilling to me. It is such a pleasure to be able to help people with hearing loss and to be able to do so at a cost that nearly everyone can afford. Hearing aids can be an expensive investment. As a private practice, I can dispense a multi line of instruments of comparable or better quality for considerably less than the big name franchises.

An appointment at Hamilton Hearing is a very different experience. After your appointment is completed you will have a full understanding of your hearing loss. If after the hearing evaluation and consultation we feel that we can help, you will be involved in the decision and cost based on your lifestyle. Rest assured that I will always do what is right for you, the patient.

Untreated hearing loss can affect many aspects of a person's life. The hearing loss can put strain on the relationships they have with their family, friends and co-workers, as well as cause depression and social withdrawal and cognitive decline. Recent studies have linked untreated hearing loss with Dementia and Alzheimer's.
